Happy HalloThanksgivingWeen

Happy HalloThanksgivingWeen started out as a four-song Halloween EP, built around ideas I’d been kicking around for a few years. At the same time, I’d been wanting to show Thanksgiving a little love—there just aren’t many songs for that holiday.

The only problem: Thanksgiving songs get hard to write really fast. There’s food, crazy family gatherings… and that’s about it.

Meanwhile, the Halloween song collection kept growing. So I figured, why not mix the two into one full album? Thus, Happy HalloThanksgivingWeen was born: a celebration of spooky season, turkey-day chaos, gratitude, and all the wonderfully weird space in between.

And yes, be prepared for a lot of theremin. Because how do you make a song spooky? You add theremin to it!

NOTE: Happy HalloThanksgivingWeen is a fun, family-friendly album for Halloween and Thanksgiving. The songs include spooky and silly themes such as ghosts, monsters, haunted houses, and holiday chaos, but contain no graphic gore or frightening violence.

Track List

1 / Spooky Dance

A playful Halloween dance party where ghosts, goblins, witches, mummies, skeletons, and zombies all hit the floor before morning comes. Whimsical orchestral pop and an undercurrent of polka turn every spooky sound—from flickering candles to hooting owls—into an invitation to dance.

2 / Witching Hour

A full-on Halloween rock opera that gathers every classic creature of the night beneath the witching hour’s glow. From raven calls and wolf howls to chanting witches and waking graves, it treats spooky season like the grandest show in town.

3 / Haunted Fiesta

A bright, playful mariachi celebration where ghosts, skeletons, costumed kids, and glowing pumpkins take over Halloween night. Beneath the haunted moon, eerie magic and lively music invite everyone to dance, laugh, and celebrate the spooky holiday.

4 / The House That Should Not Be

A dark, whimsical haunted-pop song about one trick-or-treater who enters an ordinary-looking house and finds themselves trapped in a maze of twisted halls, impossible colors, and mirrors that show a nameless face. As eerie bells and a creeping pulse drive the song forward, two ominous doors offer an escape—though the ending leaves one unsettling question: did they ever truly get out?

5 / Elder Gods

A Lovecraft-inspired cosmic horror psychedelic retro-rock trip through a town stalked by cosmic elders, alien signals, and fluorescent-green trails in the dead of night. As the world drifts toward an absurdly apocalyptic ending—complete with a metallic-silver reindeer and a bright green god—the song balances creeping dread, strange beauty, and a wonderfully off-kilter sense of humor.

6 / All-Watching Gaze

A haunting cosmic-horror alt-rock piece built around the unnerving idea that the stars—and the sleeping elder gods beyond them—are always watching. Its repeated refrain becomes a hypnotic, increasingly ominous chant, turning the vastness of space into something intimate and inescapable.

7/ Spooky Nights

A hauntingly beautiful take on Halloween’s familiar magic: glowing pumpkins, whispering winds, witches, bats, and children racing through the night with candy bags in hand. Minimal piano, delicate strings, and dramatic swells transform those classic spooky-season images into something both inviting and beautifully unsettling.

8 / Axe to the Head: A Thanksgiving Song

A gloriously chaotic Flamenco rock dance number about the messy business of bringing home Thanksgiving dinner—and the equally messy family gathering that follows. Between the turkey, the Stove Top stuffing, and relatives already preparing for a holy war, it turns holiday stress into a loud, ridiculous feast.

9 / Oh, The Pie

An electronic dance sea shanty about a sailor helplessly lured by Thanksgiving pies. Pumpkin, apple, pecan, and cherry become a sugary siren crew, calling him toward delicious disaster while their waistband begs them to turn back.

10 / Beautiful Mess

A comedy-rock protest against Christmas decorations and Black Friday trying to shove Thanksgiving out of the way before its turn has even arrived. Through exploding turkeys, cat food in Jell-O, unruly relatives, and a yard caught between Halloween and Christmas, the song finds the real heart of the holiday: gratitude for the beautifully imperfect people gathered around the table.

11 / Beautiful Mess (Bonus Punk Version)

The alternate punk-rock version of “Beautiful Mess” turns the same Thanksgiving-versus-Christmas chaos into a faster, louder, horn-punctuated celebration. I loved both versions too much to choose just one, so this extra shot of punk energy became the album’s bonus track.
